The Halal and Healthy Products Fair received huge interest from the industry!
The 2nd Halal and Healthy Products Fair held between13-16 October was the meeting platform for all the stakeholders of the halal food industry that reaches around 2 billion people globally.
Many brands as well as retailers, distributors, hotel and restaurant purchasers from 30 countries had the opportunity in Istanbul to keep a close eye on the market worth 2 trillion dollars. The fair held by the Sine Trade Shows , an affiliate of the CNR Holding and the CNR Expo Trade Shows, received a total of 8,927 local and international professional visitors. The fair was organized with the support of Gimdes (Association for the Inspection and Certification of Food and Supplies) and the WHC (World Halal Council).
Halal and Healthy Food Products Fair received huge interest and offered the opportunity to increase the trade volume of the industry this year as well. Numerous purchasing delegations from the USA, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East were brought to the fair. The Fair served as a platform to introduce new trends in many fields such as halal food and drinks, halal cosmetics, Islamic fashion and textile, medical products, cleaning and hygiene materials to visitors and many business talks were held.
The local brands such as Seyidoğlu, Erpiliç, Beyza Piliç, Tatlıses Çiğköfte, Aytaç, Abalıoğlu, Tatşen, Nafia, Yorsan, Rumeli Maya, Ballı Süt and Hamidiye exhibited their halal certified products in the 2nd Halal and Healthy Products Fair.
International exhibitors were from Indonesia, Germany, the USA, Japan and the Netherlands. 37 companies from these countries attended to the fair. Instantlabs, one of the international exhibitors of the fair, introduced its advanced technology that tests whether the food contains lard or not. A Japanese company promoted its creams which is containing gold powder.
The 4th Halal and Healthy Products Turkey Conference was organized by GİMDES simultaneously during the fair. The theme of “The Importance of a Single Global Standard for Raising the Volume of Halal Product Trade” was discussed both at that conference and at the 9th WHC (World Halal Council) Congress. The congress and the conference hosted guests from many countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, the USA, the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa and they showed huge interest in the fair.
The fair will be organized for the third time between 30 August and 2 September 2012 again at the CNR EXPO Istanbul with the participation of producers, retailers, importers, exporters, distributors and wholesalers, investors, suppliers, purchasing executives of hypermarkets and supermarkets, hotel and restaurant owners, finance executives as well as Islamic federation and association executives..
