10th Annual General Meeting of World Halal Council was conducted in Manila, Philippines on 23-24 November 2012.
IDCP (Islamic Da’awah Council of Philippines) successfully organized the Halal World Forum and also hosted the AGM of WHC.
All members of World Halal Council gathered together for the 10th time in Manila both for the forum and AGM.
Unified Halal Standard was the main discussion topic for the AGM and members agreed on implementing and following the same standard worldwide. Members will check and review the draft and then get together for a special meeting in Istanbul in February 2013, where final version will discussed and ratified.
During the AGM, 4 new members officially applied for full membership to WHC. They have been accepted as associate members and their status will be reviewed in the next meeting of WHC. These members are from India, Bangladesh, Kenya and Russia.
Authorities report that WHC will be more strong and effective and will continue to be the one and only true voice of Halal certifies worldwide.
