Hold tied to Allah’s rope … (Al-i Imran, 103)
World Halal Council has assumed the responsibility to crown the Ummah with the forgotten life style of Halal and Tayyib. In order to fulfill this responsibility, World Halal Council is uniting all halal certification organizations under one umbrella organization.
GLOBAL ORGANIZATIONS SHAPING THE WORLD
For Food and Agriculture matters: UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
For Health matters: UN’s World Health Organization (WHO)
For Political matters: United Nations (UN)
For Security matters: North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
For Business matters: World Trade Organization (WTO)
For Economy matters: International Monetary Fund (IMF)
For Product matters: International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
All of these organizations are non-Muslim organizations of the imperialist governments.
For the majority of the world population are now living under these organizations’ standards. In the future, the standards of these are organizations will cover everything from what people should eat, what people should enjoy, how they should live their lives and their life conditions.
The most pressing issue in this globalization age is that most of these standards do not belong to us and they are one sided. In reality, including Islam, there are many life styles that allows us to conclude that the world has many different tones and colors. In this system, every color and difference wants to have its fair share. Especially, the Muslims who take up %25 of the World population do not have any say in the standards that are pushed down their throats.
The products that are presented in the market are mostly one sided and they are being categorized, audited and certified based on processed. Globally accepted standards, processes and audit mechanisms do not take religious concerns into consideration. In fact, when personal lives are taken into consideration the picture is totally different. Many religions, especially Islamic belief is very sensitive on these matters.
For instance, according to Western led Food Codecs, the beverages that has less than 3g/Liter is considered to be non-alcoholic beverage. In the ingredients, these manufacturers are allowed to say “this beverage does not contain alcohol”. However, Islam has a very strict rule that “there is no minimum for Alcohol consumption, it is completely forbidden regardless of the amount”. In this situation, Muslims can not consume these beverages. This issue gives a very negative impression about global standards and criteria thus creating a very deep confusion when it comes to trusting these global standards.
Take products which contain yeast and gelatin for instance or medical and cosmetics products which contain pig or alcoholic ingredients. Muslims are very concerned because any product that they assumed to be safe may contain any of these forbidden materials because any raw material derived from pig or alcohol is completely forbidden for Islamic World.
Global producers (multinational companies), FAO, WHO and other global organizations are known to be reckless when it comes to respecting consumer diversity as mentioned in Alcoholic beverages example.
Today, there are more than 2 billion Muslims living in the world. Due to the reasons mentioned above, why don’t they have an organization similar to Western lead organizations? This is a question that every Muslim should ask themselves. Muslim world who lived under Western occupation for one hundred years, has to tear apart this life style and establish a life style based on their belief system. In short, we name this life style as “Halal and Tayyib Life System”. The name of this system is given to us in Holy Quran by Allah (c.c.). Then, the name of the halal standard of Muslim life style standard will be “Halal and Tayyib Life Standard” (HTLS).
